Can you help us effectively get the campaign message out to the public, businesses, organizations and local and regional leaders? If you have interest and skills to organize this process, we need your help.
Do you enjoy writing and speaking to others about issues that you are passionate about? We will need individuals to work with the media, write letters to the editor, and communicate with our members.
Do you have social media skills or interest? Currently we have a Facebook page and are building a Web Page. We would like to be able to use other social media formats to reach out and engage as many people, of all ages, as possible. Individuals are needed to add content, manage and monitor these sites.
Create graphics for flyers, posters, brochures and electronic media.
On a quarterly basis, plan community education events. Arrange meeting location; set-up for the meeting to include audio-visual equipment and other materials that might be needed for the event.
Interested in the technical aspects of researching and communicating the latest ideas and developments in renewable energy with our members and the public?
Are you a stickler for factual information and enjoy research? We need to present factual information to the public and to respond to beliefs and inaccurate assumptions that challenge climate change and the benefits of renewable energy. Research information will be shared to support YRF100 members.
Meet business leaders and owners to seek their endorsement of our goals and to provide them with information to help support their efforts to move their businesses towards renewable energy. Create ways to strengthen the partnership between the businesses and YRF100.
Are you willing to present YRF100s Renewable Energy Campaign to various organizations, such as, the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, social clubs and religious organizations? Gaining the support of these organizations will help spread the word of our goals to their membership.
Do you want to make sure that no one is left out of benefiting from the change to renewable energy? We need volunteers who are willing to work with community service organizations to insure social equality and to improve the lives of all members of our community regardless of income levels.
Engage school administrators, teachers and students to partner with YRF100 and to provide opportunities for students to be involved with the community. Encourage the students to participate in the listed activities to gain more experience and to assist us with our goals.
Monitor executive and legislative activities in State and local government. Work with our legislators in communicating our intentions and organize support for their activities that relate to climate change and renewable energy.
Insure that sufficient funds are available for expenses for our campaign.
Do you have interest in building community support? Meet and dialogue with the public by door-to-door visits and neighborhood coffee gatherings. Distribute educational material. Conduct a petition drive to ensure support for our goals.
