We call the crisis climate change

but it is more than just climate.

The world is changing under our feet (and gills). Arctic ice is melting, exposing sea lanes and food chains previously unavailable.

Greenland and Antarctica ice are also melting, threatening coastal communities and islands with rising seas. Some global regions in need of water are burning up, while others are drowning in record rainfall events. We are in the midst of a sixth extinction event, according to some experts. The number of animals living on Earth has plunged by half since 1970. Entire ecosystems are in danger of collapse from broken food webs.

The atmosphere is heating up. And the world continues to burn fossil fuels to fuel a carbon-based economy. In fact, 2018 was a record year for human-generated CO2 emissions. As bleak as conditions seem, it is not too late to turn things around. We are the CEO and Board of Directors of Planet Earth; we are in a “turn around” situation loaded with opportunity for a better future.
